Assistant Manager – Taupo

Brilliant Assistant Manager needed to help our Manager run our busy children’s out of school care programme at the Historic Courthouse in central Taupo.

Hours of work will be a minimum of 4 hours a day between 2pm to 6pm Monday to Friday during the school term time (for after school sessions). Possibility of morning work from 7-9am for before school sessions some days as demand for the programme increases. Full time Monday to Friday during school holiday programmes that run from 8am-6pm.

This is an entry level management role. Applicants need to be reliable, experienced in some form of childcare, fun, caring, energetic and responsible with brilliant organisational and customer service skills. Some administration experience would be preferred but training will be given. Opportunities available to study the National Certificate in Recreation and Sport (OSCAR) Level 3 on the job.

Full, clean, driver’s license essential (manual preferred) as well as the confidence to drive a mini-van full of children. An important part of this role is transporting children to holiday programme activities in our company passenger van.
All our staff are police vetted upon employment. This is a Core Worker role under the Vulnerable Children’s Act.

Programme Assistants (Casual) – Rotorua

Brilliant OSCAR Programme Assistants needed to help in our children’s out of school care programme on Ranolf St, Rotorua.

There are casual positions available which may become permanent part-time for the right applicants, and as the centre continues to grow.

Hours will be approx. 2.30pm – 4:30pm Monday-Friday during school term time as required. Possibility of full time Monday – Friday during school holidays.
We are looking for reliable, mature, fun loving people who are “full of life” active, and able to show initiative. Lots of energy and laughter essential! Must be motivated, willing to learn, and enjoy working with children. On the job training will be provided. Opportunities to achieve a National Certificate in Recreation and Sport (OSCAR) Level 3 are available on the job.

Full, manual drivers licence essential (please do not apply if you don’t have this), as well as the confidence to drive a van full of children, as an important part of the role taking children out on trips during the school holidays.

Programme Supervisor (Permanent Part-time) – Onekawa, Napier

We are seeking a brilliant Programme Supervisor to help the Manager and Assistant Manager run our excellent children’s out of school care programme for 5-13 year olds at Onekawa School in Napier

The successful applicant will work a minimum of 22.5 hours per week during the school term being 6:45am-8:45am each morning and 2:30pm-5pm each afternoon, Monday to Friday. Full time Monday-Friday in the school holidays (excluding stat days).

Applicants need to be reliable, mature, genuinely interested and experienced in caring for children. Also fun, energetic and have the confidence and passion to become an excellent leader. You will be expected to take charge in the unlikely absence of both the Manager and Assistant Manager. This is a Core Worker role as described under the Vulnerable Children’s Act.

A full manual drivers licence is essential as well as the confidence to drive with a minivan full of children, as an important part of the role is transporting children in our company vans.

We are looking for someone to commit to the role long-term. In return, we offer training in all aspects of the OSCAR profession, and the administration skills required to fulfil the role as required. This is definitely not just a holiday job!

Minimum hours of work will be 30 hours per week 6:45am – 9am then 1:45pm to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday during the school term time for before and after school sessions. Full time Monday to Friday during school holiday programmes that run from 7am-6pm.

This is an entry level management role.
