Brilliant Manager needed to run our busy children’s out of school care programme based at the Tauriko Settlers Hall, servicing Tauriko School and Taumata School.
Hours of work will be a minimum of 25hours per week Monday to Friday during the school term, including the after school care session from 2:30pm – 5:30pm, and full time hours during the holiday programmes.
This is a management role. Applicants need to be genuinely interested in caring for children, fun, energetic and have the confidence and passion to be an excellent leader. Administration experience is very desirable as the allocated hours per week includes assisting with the administration duties relating to the programme and correspondence with parents, WINZ and the School’s Out National office.
Must provide brilliant customer service to the parents and children we provide care for, whilst running a successful business!
Organisational skills essential as you will be planning everyday logistics including organisation of the pick up service from the schools and all aspects of planning the holiday programmes, as well as leading and rostering a small team of staff. The ability and imagination to ‘create magic’ during every day activities will ensure this busy centre continues to flourish.
We are looking for someone to commit to the role long-term. In return, we offer training in all aspects of the OSCAR profession, and the administration skills required to fulfil the role.
Full, clean, driver’s license required. All our staff are police vetted upon employment. This is a Core Worker role as per the Vulnerable Children’s Act.
This position will commence as soon as possible in January. (this is subject to change if necessary due to COVID-19 restrictions).

LOVE WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES?
WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE? Are you FUN? Are you SAFE? Are you QUALITY?
We are seeking a brilliant Assistant Manager to help the Programme Manager run our out of school care programme for 5-13 year olds, based at our soon-to-be-opened centre located in downtown Tauranga.
The centre will be open Monday – Friday during the four school terms, for both Before School care and After School care. The successful applicants will work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week during term time. During the school holidays you may be required to work full time hours in our exciting and engaging Holiday Programmes that operate from 7am-6pm, Monday – Friday (exclusive of Stat holidays and Xmas closedown period).
Applicants need to be reliable, responsible, genuinely interested and experienced in caring for children. We are looking for people who are fun, energetic and who have the confidence and passion to be an excellent leader. You will be expected to take charge of the centre in the absence of the Programme Manager and be the go to person for the Programme Assistants.
As this is a Core Worker role as described under the Vulnerable Children’s Act, all employees must complete a mandatory Police Vetting check. A current Full Drivers Licence is also required, along with the confidence to drive a minivan full of children. An important part of the role is picking up and dropping off children from local schools in a company van and transporting them to activities during the Holiday Programmes. Please do not apply if you don’t have a current Full Licence.

– Proficient with technology and MS Office suite.
– Quick learner who can think fast on their feet.
– Positive attitude and confident mindset.
– Can be a little bit zany, a little bit crazy and doesn’t mind the odd dress-up or getting mucky from time-to-time.
We are looking for someone to commit to the role long-term. In return, we offer training in all aspects of the OSCAR profession, and the administration skills required to fulfill the role as required. This is definitely not just a holiday job and could lead into a very successful career in OSCAR for anyone with the right attitude.
This position will commence no later than 2nd February 2021.

Brilliant OSCAR School, After School and Holiday Programme Care Assistants needed to help in our OSCAR programmes based in the Tauriko Settlers Hall, on State Highway 29 just out of Tauranga.
The positions are on call to cover our busy days or staff absences. However, there may be opportunities for permanent part-time work for the right people.
We are looking for responsible, reliable and fun loving people who are “full of life” and active. Lots of energy and laughter is a huge plus! Must be motivated, willing to learn, and enjoy working with children. On the job training will be provided.
A full drivers licence is essential as well as the confidence to drive a van full of children, as an important part of the role is picking children up from schools. Please do not apply if you don’t have your full drivers licence.
All our staff are police vetted upon employment. This is a ‘core worker’ role under the Vulnerable Children’s Act.
