My name is Grace Thom and I manage the School’s Out Tennessee programmes. I am a very passionate teacher and my strengths lie in the areas of art, craft, sports and recreational activities. We have 2-4 other staff members who help me with the after school and holiday programme.
Our programme offers children a variety of activities from helping with homework and reading to free choice activities from board games, drawing, and colouring to writing. We provide different art and craft activities and go out for sports when the weather is fine. Children are also given the opportunity to share their experiences. This helps to develop a good relationship amongst the children and the teachers.
School’s Out Tennessee caters for most schools in the Mangere area but at the moment we do drop-offs and pick-ups from six schools.
Please feel welcome to come and have a look around while our after school sessions are on and bring your child also. We have spaces available at present.
